Lolita meets are the best!

I love a good meet-up. There are few places where you can connect with fellow fans of the frill. I love seeing everyone's coordinates and discussing new releases. If your community sees a lot of the same faces, or even if you see many new faces, here are a few fun lolita-themed games to play!

1. Who am I? Guessing Game

How to Play

Typically, well-known people are written on cards or stickers. The clue is attached to the participant's forehead. Each participant asks the other players yes or no questions. The questions and answers help them narrow down who they can be. Once they guess correctly, they remove their card and are the winner! You can keep going and have additional winners or until everyone has found the answer.

This classic party game is easy to theme! Famous people in lolita fashion could include well known models, designers, and public figures! You could also include well-known brands, famous characters related to lolita fashion, or event articles of lolita clothing. You can even tailor the subject to best fit each player, if you'd like!

2. Never Have I Ever...

How to Play

There are many ways to play this game. The version that I like best is that each player gets ten counters or uses ten fingers. The first participant makes a statement of something they have never done. If the player has done the mentioned activity, they put down a finger or give up one of the counters. The next person names something they have not done and so on. The last person to have the most counters or the person with the least wins!

All of the questions must be related to the fashion. For example, "Never have I ever used a shopping service" or "Never have I ever bought from Taobao." It may be fun to use lolita store tags as counters, or something else that fits the style.

3. Charades

How to Play

A group is split into at least two teams. Well known people, books, and movies are written down on cards. The subjects are put into a container. The first player chooses a subject and reads it. The subject is never shown and the presenter cannot make a noise. The timer is started. The participant indicates how many syllables the first word of the clue is. The word is acted out until the group guesses correctly. Clues by the team are stated aloud. Only when the team guesses the entire clue does the team earn a point. This must occur before the timer runs out! Otherwise, they forfeit the point. Whichever team scores the most points, wins!

All of the people. books, and movies used in the game must relate to lolita fashion! To make the box look more festive, write the clues on cute stationary! You can also decorate a box with a lolita-theme, or even use a lolita brand name shopping bag.

How to
Play

This game is very similar to charades! A group is split into at least two teams. Well known people, books, and movies are written down on cards. The subjects are put into a container. The first player chooses a subject and reads it. The subject is never shown and the presenter cannot talk. A timer is started. The participant must draw the clue on a board that is visible to both teams. As the clue is drawn, the team guesser aloud the answer. Only when the  correct guess is given does the team earn a point. This must occur before the timer runs out! Otherwise, they forfeit the point. Whichever team scores the most points, wins!

5. Hang Man

How to Play

This game can be played as a group, or in teams. A player rights out a statement or a word. It can be anything! A horizontal line is drawn for each letter of the answer. Each time the group guesses a correct letter, that letter is added to the statement or word. Every time a letter is uttered that is incorrect, it is added to the side as incorrect guesses. This helps to prevent the same letters being guessed again. Additionally, a piece of a picture is drawn. The picture is a hanged stick figure. This usually includes the platform. The goal is to find the statement or word before the photo is completely drawn. If the figure is drawn completely, that game is lost.

All of the answers in the game should be lolita-based. With this game you can use everything from famous models and designers, to brands and articles of clothing. You can even make the little stick figure a lolita, too!

I cannot wait to play these games with my own local lolita community! What well known party games would you like to conduct in a lolita theme? I'd love to read your answers!

Stay Frilly!
