Inspiration takes many forms!

There are countless inspirational opportunities for lolita. Between the daily lolita coordinates, street snaps, and new product releases, there is always an opportunity to stumble across some great style influences. If I happen to need a bit of a wardrobe boost, or just want to try something new, I can always count on a few of my favorite fictional characters to provide some creative concepts.
Here are my top five fictional characters that
assist with my lolita fashion style!

For me, Alice is an obvious choice for an inspirational fictional character in regards to lolita fashion. Her 1865 style fashion is a wonderful and continuous source for wardrobe creativity. In addition to being one of the most well-known influences of lolita fashion, she is adorable. Alice's Head eating bow, full dress and apron are such a good fit for lolita. Her adventures in Wonderland, and the colorful cast of characters, makes Alice is an excellent addition to my fictional character arsenal.

I cannot get over how fantastic kodona, also known as lolita boy style, is. I love each element that the sub-style incorporates, from the style shorts and vests to the elaborate gloves and hats. While I have not ventured into kodona style yet, it is a sub-style that I admire greatly. The most iconic fictional character for this lolita style would have to be Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji. The young master has some serious fashion sense. I cannot get over how fantastic each one of Ciel's completed outfits is! It would be impossible to not appreciate this young earl's coordinate talents.

The Grimm's tale of Rose White and Rose Red is one of my favorite fairy tale stories. As part of the Grimm's Fairy Tale collection published originally in 1812, I always envisioned these famous maidens in fantastic medieval Elizabethan gowns, high collars and their garments littered with accents of glittering gems. Of course, the maidens would have elements of white and red roses that would adorn their gowns. The romanticism of the fictional stories, coupled with the era in which they allegedly took place, is a constant influence and opportunity for me to draw inspiration from.

Leigh Churchill is a fictional character of my own creation. In the past, I was an avid role-playing enthusiast. One of the characters I created and wrote for was a young man by the name Leigh. Leigh is passionate about many various hobbies, however, his most adored hobby by far is lolita fashion. He lives and breathes for the latest Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and Alice and the Pirates designs. While I no longer role-play this character online, I find myself constantly creating lolita outfits that would be his lolita style rather than my own, as well as expanding the items in his current wardrobe. The ability to create outfits for another helps me with my own lolita coordinates!

Hitomi is my adored Obitsu doll and the mascot of my online shop Keep A Fallen Star™. This sweet original character of mine is a constant source of inspiration for new jewelry pieces, doll sized lolita pieces and my own lolita fashion coordinate ideas! Once my sewing skills are great enough in order to create my own clothes, I cannot wait to create matching items, so we are able to twin! I am so happy that she is such a portable size so I can take her with me to lolita and doll meets alike!
