1. Take Good PhotosThis is crucial. Lace Market allows you to add multiple photos to each item listing. Real personal photos of your item will give buyers confidence in their purchase and interest, and you will have transparency about the look of your piece. A note with your username next to the item assists in this as well. Take your photos from multiple angles and of the front and back of the item. If you have photos of the item being worn, feel free to add that photo as well if you are comfortable in doing so! Be sure to have photos of the details. I love photos on Lace Market that show the beautiful aspects of the piece, such as close-ups of the lace, buttons, and print. If your item has been gently, or greatly, used over time, be sure to photograph any imperfections. I like to add a circle to the photo in order to show a loose thread or other faults so that the buyer is aware of the item's unique attributes. 2. Write A Good DescriptionIn the item description, be sure to add helpful details such as: How long have you had the item? What is the condition of the item? What are some of the items that are included with this piece? (ex: includes detachable sleeves). What items are missing? (ex: missing waist ties) Are there any imperfections, such as stains, holes or other important factors? Buyers will appreciate these details! Include MeasurementsMany times I find items on Lace Market that I am interested in, but the listing does not include measurements or a link to Lolibrary or another resource. I then have to take the time to research the item and/or contact the seller for the size. Please measure the item and include these item specifications in the description or, at the very least, put in a link to a lolita reference website. This will save you, and your buyers, time in the long run. Your buyer wants an easy transaction. What are some additional measurements that are not necessarily included in a lolita item database? (ex: I have a 98 cm bust and this item is tight on me.) or, (I have a 98 cm bust and this item is very roomy!) 3. Respond To Questions PromptlyAny questions about your item from potential buyers should be answered promptly. Part of your feedback involves communication. When a buyer purchases an item from you, be sure to send them a PayPal invoice, including shipping, quickly. The sooner you send, the sooner you should be paid. 4. Ship The ItemNo one wants an item that was poorly packaged. A piece of clothing, such as a dress, blouse or skirt can be packaged in a flat envelope without any issues! I have seen hair accessories, such as head bows, shipped in flat padded envelopes and small cardboard boxes. Think about what makes the most sense for the item. I completely understand the desire to keep shipping costs low, but you do not want the item to be ruined in transit! That wouldn't be good for you or the buyer. The best choice will ensure that your sold piece will be in the same condition when it arrived as when you sent it. 5. Thank Your BuyerInclude a handwritten note thanking the buyer for their purchase! A simple message like, "I hope this item looks great with your lolita coordinate" will be a good first impression and a very nice statement. This is a good opportunity to mention they can contact you with any concerns and feedback. Leave Your FeedbackOne of the lolitas I recently bought from included a phrase of her thank you note perfectly. "Let me know when the item arrives so we can leave each other feedback!" If the transaction was easy, say so! Great points to address as a seller for a buyer include great communication and fast payment. And there you have it! Those are my five ways to set yourself up for success on Lace Market. What are some of your tips on selling via Lace Market? I would love to hear your advice! Stay Frilly,
