I recently reached out to Dominique aka Pikkochan regarding a dramatic look for my latest doll addition, Lilith. To transform a blank Obitsu girl into a drop dead gorgeous Gothic beauty would be no easy task! The need for a third eye, tattoo and, piercings did not make my request any easier. Thankfully, Pikkochan was willing to give this challenge a shot. I am so happy with the results!
A New Doll Has Arrived!I recently cleaned out my closet of unwanted collectibles. To my astonishment, I was able to purchase my third Obitsu doll! After some careful consideration, I decided to shell one of my darker characters, Lilith. After I settled on the 45 cm size, I made my way online to complete my purchase!
**Warning: This blog post will contain artistic appreciation of the doll's form aka doll nudity. If you like ball-jointed dolls, or even just my doll lolita fashion Hitomi, this blog post may be very helpful to you. In this post, I will discuss Obitsu dolls and how to make your doll uniquely your own!
There are a great many considerations when ordering a doll. One of these considerations is, of course, the doll's features. I adored the form of the doll I chose but faced some difficulty in features. I was unable to order a company face up since the Obitsu brand does not release completed features. I needed to find an artist to commission. Luckily I came across TheKawaiiPhoenix on Etsy!
An now for a review that is slightly different!
Bambi Crony is a Ball-Jointed-Doll shop based out of Souel, Korea. I have heard great things about their products and decided to check them out. I had been in search of Tea Party and Rocking Horse style shoes that would fit my soon to arrive Obitsu. Bambi Crony had both styles in stock.
Of course I didn't just stop at two pairs of shoes! |
