How I Wash My Main Lolita Pieces in the Washing Machine

Lolita laundry can get expensive fast, but you'd be surprised which pieces you can wash in the washing machine! I've created a list of dresses and skirts I wash on a regular basis.

MyMethod:

1. Turn the dress inside out.
2. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress. I use Seventh Generation.
3. Wash in a washing machine on delicate and cold water only.
4. Turn right-side out and air dry or machine dry at the lowest temperature setting.​

Baked Sweets Parade JSK (Sax)

MyMethod:

1. Remove the waist ties.
2. Turn the dress inside out.
3. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress. I use Seventh Generation.
4. Wash in a washing machine on delicate and with cold water only.
5. Turn right-side out and air dry.
