*Review* It's Here! Haenuli's Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess Set

At long last, here is my impressions of Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess! The review is also available on YouTube, so that you can view the video later. After some adjustments and sending the dress back and forth, I am overjoyed to say that this beautiful release is now a part of my lolita wardrobe.

The Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess series features a print fit for any mahou shoujo fan. The release features lace, wands, crystals, stars, crowns, and hearts. Each piece encompasses the beauty and enchantment of magical girls. Between my adoration for Sailor Moon and other magical girl merchandise, and my online handle, the purchase of this series was an absolute necessity.

I could not pass up this release. I had never purchased items from Haenuli before, but I have heard great things for years about this independent brand. I pre-ordered my items on March 9th, 2018.

I pre-ordered three items for this release:

Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess Jumper Skirt (Pink, XXL)
Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess Headdress (Pink)
Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess Headbow (Pink)

My original order arrived on May 20th, 2018. All of my items came in a branded Haenuli box. Each item was wrapped in an individual branded plastic wrap. The order came with multiple high quality postcards that feature past releases by Haenuli. Each postcard looks great when set in a frame!

The hair accessories were as described, but the dress was larger than the sizing chat. After connecting with Haenuli, I sent the dress back for adjustments. I needed to send back the altered piece due to a misprint. Overall, it was well worth the wait and I am very happy with the changes!

​Headbow

The presentation is absolutely lovely! I really like that the plastic bags are branded.

The headbow print is bold and easily seen, despite the small scale. The lace is soft and a great design.

The brooch is removable. Each side of the head bow features a lovely plastic heart-shaped gem. The headband is thin and very comfortable. The best part of the headband is that it features the print!

The stitching on this headbow is flawless. The bow is even on each side, and there is a good strong bow base. This is the first headbow that I have bought from an indie brand that is even on each side.

Not only does this bow feature the beautiful print of stars and sparkles, it also features the gilded pink and gold brooch. The brooch is removable and the bow can be adjusted for coordination flexibility. The material that the bow is consisted of is the same as the dress. It is a lovely sturdy fabric. This bow will not lose it's shape any time soon! The construction is very impressive and it is comfortable.

Headdress

The headdress is lovely. I truly adore the two crimped detachable ribbons on the piece. Similarly, as with the headbow, the headdress features the unmistakable star and lace print on the dress.

Attached to the headdress, there is a hair comb. With this, the piece can easily be secured on your head. There are also two lovely ribbons you can use to secure the piece with a bow under your chin.

The design is slender, so it is not confused with a feminine hygiene product. A lovely row of lace gives you a delicate and princess look. I love that this historical headpiece is making a comeback!

​Similarly to the head bow, the headdress features the print of the series. I really like the size of this headdress. It is much thinner than the traditional headdress that is used in lolita fashion. The headdress has removable crimped ribbons to allow for additional looks. A chain can be added to the headdress for a more regal style as well! I plan to make my own pearl headdress chain very soon.

Jumper Skirt

After some adjustments and two trips back to Korea, my jumper skirt is here! My dress arrived, to stay, on May 25th, 2018. The dress was in a branded box, a hot pink bag, and this clear plastic bag.

**Note: The original dress came with the center waist bow. This was never replaced by the studio.

The print is beautiful, vibrant and bold. I love that the boarder print is just as bold as the details.

 Even though the plastic and folded, you can see some of the beautiful items on the print. The print features: ribbons, wands, stars, roses, pearls, lace, crowns, wings, keys, brooches, crystals and gems.

The bodice is absolutely stunning. This aspect is my favorite aspect, aside from the border print. I haven't seen a bodice with this shape before, and I really love the uniqueness of it. The design is elegant, a flattering shape and features a crimped ribbon, bow, lovely lace and a jeweled brooch.

The brooch features a plastic heart-shaped crystal charm. This is the same charms featured on the headbow. The base bow features two plastic star crystal charm on either side of the pretty bow.

The print design is unbelievable! I love all of the different pieces that are represented. From glistening gems to intricate magical girl weapons, I this design is breathtaking. The print is bold and perfect!

This dress is absolutely stunning! Now that the dress has been fixed, it is a dress that I am proud to have in my possession. I am very impressed with the overall design and the construction of the piece. The material is very sturdy, so a full petticoat would be a good fit for the proper shape.

All of my items were shipped with EMS shipping. The pieces arrived within 5-7 days. All of the items were shipped in a red branded box and clear branded bags. The dress was wrapped in a thicker plastic sheet to protect it. I loved that the items were safe, and the presentation was perfect!

Communication

The communication with Haenuli was phenomenal. Nunu listened to my concerns and presented me with options. The shop took care of all of the alterations and shipping costs for my dress. I truly appreciate that the shop took my concerns seriously and was determined to remedy the mistake.

Quality

Outstanding! Now that my dress has been fixed, I can honestly say that the pieces I received in the order are stunning. I cannot event see evidence of the alterations! The quality and the design of each item is lovely. I am very impressed with the wonderful sewing skills.

Would I purchase from Haenuli in the future? Why, yes! I am interested in getting my hands on future and past released from this brand! I cannot wait to finish my coordinate for these lovely pieces.
