Here's to our natural hair!

Don't get me wrong; I love wigs as much as the next person, but I love to use my natural hair with lolita, too! I've seen increased comments about how people love to see my coordinates with natural hair, which is excellent! I'm sad to see how many people say they could never wear their natural or short hair with lolita fashion.

In this video and post, I'll share what designs I use with my authentic hairstyle!

Heart Headband

by Moon House on Taobao
A statement piece like this heart design stands out, even with short hair! The lace on the band means that it looks pretty on both sides. Since the design is a headband, it only takes seconds to apply. The flexibility to wear this design with a casual look or an OTT coordinate makes pieces like these must-haves!

Lovely Dot Café Headband

by Angelic Pretty
Maid headbands always look super cute! The wide brim of the headpiece is the perfect silhouette for short hair. The large bow and lace help this particular design stand out. With so many options, you can easily find one you like!

Checkered Headband

by Cheese Cat on Taobao
Have I mentioned that this style of headpiece is super versatile for natural hair? Instead of a center ribbon, this headband has a sizeable plush candy detail and mini bows. Since the wide brim has the ideal shape, small designs like this can make the piece stand out and look great with multiple coordinates! Again, the brim is the perfect size!

Pearl Organza Headbow

by an indie Taobao brand
With the layered organza and height, this bow is a fantastic fit for natural hair! Even a solid material in this style perfectly matches short, natural hair, or both! I especially love that the bow is transparent and that the headband features pearls, so it looks pretty from every angle.

Pretty Twirling Head Bow

by Angelic Pretty
I have a serious weakness for a bow you can style! Since most of my hairbows have wires inside, I can control the shape of my headpiece at will. With this flexibility, I can make the bow wider with my natural look or flatten it if I use a wig with pigtails. With pieces like this, you'll look your best with any hairstyle!

Spooky Cat-o-Lantern Head Bow

by Ruby Princess
You can never go wrong with an animal-themed coordinate! From cat ears to Disney park ears, these adorable pieces look great with any hair length! Headbows with animal ears look super cute and stand out easily.

Dot Michelle Head Bow

by Angelic Pretty
Smaller headbands are not only great for natural hair, but they are also great for your wallet! These brand hair accessories are often less expensive than larger hairbows. The best part? You can find off-brand designs for even less!

Baby Ribbon Head Bow

by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
For some reason, I love ribbons with words printed on them! This piece by Baby, the Stars Shine is similar to the design above. The layered ribbon looks excellent with my hairstyle. The tiny golden charm and lettering make the piece a little addition!

Twins Ribbon Head Bow

by Angelic Pretty
This headband may be my most-worn hair accessory! With two bows, I can easily see why I pair this design with wigs and my natural hair. The size is perfect for any hairstyle! Headbands are the easiest to not only put on but to wear as well.

Fairy Flowers Headdress

by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
A small headdress is comfortable and stays on well; it also looks great with my short and curly hair! Beautiful details, like ribbons and pearls, flatter my hairstyle.

Bows and Sparkling Gemmed Headband

by an indie Taobao brand
These lovely little organza bows are all lined up in a row, which means this hair accessory looks cute from every angle! The bows are the perfect size to compliment my short hair, and the added sparkle is an eye-catching bonus!

Satin Hair Clip

by an indie Taobao brand
A satin hair clip looks cute on the side and the back! While I have personally seen it with longer hair, I wanted to show how I wear it from the back with my naturally short hair.

Nurse Hat

by an indie Taobao brand
Hats are a fantastic hair accessory for any hair length! In addition to this nurse hat, I have a summer boater hat, witch hat, and berets that work well with my natural hair and wigs.

Party Ribbon Headband

by Angelic Pretty
This organza bow is large, has sparkling elements, and fits better with my authentic hairstyle than wigs. Since the back of the headband is stretchy, I can quickly put it on and have it stay in place all day!

Bow Hair Clip

by Moon House on Taobao
Like most hair clips, this style looks great on the side. It isn't too big or small, so that I can wear it alone or with additional pieces for an OTT look. I love that it takes less than a few seconds to implement!

Polka Dot Hair Clips

by Cheese Cat on Taobao
My favorite thing about small hair clips is that you can wear them grouped or apart. For these designs, I like to wear them together with short hair and on different sides with pigtails. Either style is adorable!

Lovely Dot Color Ribbon Comb

by Angelic Pretty
These combs are large enough to be layered together or worn as a single piece. As mentioned above, I wear them grouped, layered, or independently.

Ribbon Ribbon Drop Headdress

by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
I love a little headdress! The size is perfect to compliment my hair, and it easily stays in place! This particular design resembles a half-bonnet style.
