Lolita Tutorial: How to Sell on Lace Market

Want to get rid of items in your lolita closet?

Lace Market is a free and easy platform to sell your unwanted lolita fashion items. You can list your lolita goods for other lolitas to purchase. From gently used items to brand new pieces, you are able to clear out your closet of any unwanted pieces and get some extra funds for your next purchase!

Here is a simple blog post to explain how to list and sell your lolita apparel and accessories on Lace Market!

Before you get started, be sure to create a account on Lace Market! This profile will house your private and public information. An account is required to buy or sell and items on the website.

If you already have an account, head to Lace Market so that you can begin.

1. Login To Lace Market

With your Lace Market account information, put in your username or email address, followed by your password. To save you time in the future, you can click the, Remember Me feature. This will allow you to log into the website with only one click. Once you are complete, select, Log In.

2. Your User Profile

Your user profile has all of your public account information.

Other users are able to see your:
✓ Username
✓ Feedback
✓ Membership Term
✓ External Feedback
✓ About Me Information

​If you have purchased items on LaceMarket before, you should have feedback for your transactions. The green number is positive feedback, while the red number represents negative feedback. In addition to your feedback on this platform, you also provide a link to external feedback. External feedback can be a link to your eBay transaction feedback, lolita live journal purchase feedback, or other similar platforms. Your positive transaction history is very important to potential buyers.

3. List An Item For Sale

To list an item for sale, select the Sell An Item link at the top of the page.

This is where you can put in the information to sell your desired item.

LaceMarket will request that the following information is added to your listing:
✓ Title of your item
✓ Primary Category
✓ Subtitle (Optional)
✓ Secondary Category (Optional)
✓ Main Description

You are also encouraged to add:
✓ Images of the Item
✓ Listing Details

For the listing details, you can accept bids, set a "Buy It Now" price, allow a use to make an offer on your listed item, starting price, shipping cost and the duration that the item will be listed for sale.

LaceMarket has very detailed options for your item. You are able to select the status of the item, brand, damage, lolita style, colors. You will want to be extremely accurate and truthful about the status of your item. Users want to know what they are buying, and you want positive feedback.

If you have a link to the listing for this item, you can put the URL in the reference link area! I find that lolibrary is the best place to find all of the information about the piece you are selling.

You can create the listing as a draft, or make it live in order to list your item.

4. View Your Listing

5. Your Item Has Sold

LaceMarket will send you an email if you get questions about your item, comments or if your item sells. When you item sells, you can communicate with your buyer. I always thank them for the sale and request the best email to send an invoice to. This is simple to do with your PayPal account.

Once the invoice has been paid, you are able to send your sold item to the buyer! Be sure to package it carefully. You and the buyer can leave feedback for one another on your LaceMarket profiles.
