My Favorite Lolita Item for My Hair

4/24/2017

There are numerous items to choose from when it comes to lolita hair accessories. There are headdresses, hair bows, hair clips, barrettes, bonnets, crowns, hair pins, hats, half-bonnets, headbands, berets, ribbons, ear muffs and even more! The possibilities are endless!

When it comes to which accessories I like to adorn my head, I do tend to have a particular type that I like to incorporate most.

HypnoticSweetTreats

This lovely oversize lolita hair bow, by HypnoticSweetTreats on Etsy, is a wonderful addition to my lolita accessories! This bow is so versatile that I can often wear it to the side of my head, as pictured above, or centered. I adore how charming this item is. The fact that the item is so large makes me feel as if I am a present!

Angelic Pretty

Angelic Pretty's Dolly Pearl bow is my latest accessory addition. This particular piece matches many of the apparel items that I have in my wardrobe, especially my Angelic Pretty items. The pearl accents represented in the bow are one of the sweetest accents of the piece and allows for me to utilize them in coordinates. I feel that hair bows are the signature feature for a Sweet Lolita, especially when it comes to this bow!

Baby, the Stars Shine Bright

The Classical Rosy Head Bow by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright is such a charming piece. The white lace rose details on the pink grosgrain ribbon are such a gentle and classic touch. I love the ability to incorporate a floral theme into a coordinate with ease! The size of the headband at a smaller scale than a traditional Sweet Lolita head bow. However, it is larger than a simple headband, it is a wonderful staple to my lolita wardrobe.

Sweet Mildred

My first lolita hair accessory that I ordered for lolita was a fantastic starter piece created by the artist SweetMildred. The bow is a large hair bow that looks especially sweet when surrounded by pigtails! The headband is wide enough that it comfortably stays in place when I wear various hairstyles. It is especially easy to pack away when I go to conventions or other events where I nee, or would like to, wear lolita fashion due to the construction!

Precious Clove

I purchased this hair bow in addition to my Jumperskirt Letters To My Dear Lolita By Precious Clove a year or so ago. This pink bow features the design and print of the dress, high-quality ivory lace, and a golden flower charm. This is often the only piece that I wear when I adorn this particular dress. I am so happy that I bought it!
...and there you have it! To me, nothing says Sweet Lolita like a hair bow. What is your favorite lolita hair accessory? I would love to read your comments below!
