I have a special review!

Espoir Dream is an indie doll eye and clothing company located in Indonesia. Each item is handmade by Monica. She creates stunning pieces for Dollfie Dream, BJD, Blythe and similar dolls. I have admired her work for some time, and I am very excited to review my custom items
As you may know, I have a 50 cm Obitsu named Hitomi. I am always on the lookout for lolita items that will fit her. When I saw a custom designed piece that Espoir Dream made, I just had to contact her about making a few pieces for Hitomi! I have included photos of the one-of-a-kind dress below.
I reached out to Monica on Instagram on October 7th, 2017 with my interest. She was very responsive, and I was able to send her some design concepts and Hitomi's measurements quickly. Hitomi is a 1/3 scale doll, but at 50 cm she is in between the two standard doll sizes. This was not a problem for Monica! I received some lovely floral material swatches to choose from. For Hitomi, I wanted Espoir Dream to create two one-piece dresses. One would have a matching bonnet, and the other would have a head bow. Both dresses would share a similar design to some of my favorite pieces by the Taobao brand Dear Celine. One dress would be sax blue and the other would be pink!

My payment was processed on October 17th. After I answered some initial inquiries that involved the length of the dresses, I waited for my order. I was not in a rush to receive the items as each piece would be handmade. To say that I was excited to see the result would be a vast understatement.

My order was completed and shipped on November 27th, 2017. I was so happy when it arrived!

One-Piece Set in Sax Blue

Picture
The one-piece set in sax came with a one-piece dress, over-the-knee socks, a head bow, and an underskirt. Each piece of this collection is impossibly charming! Every item features high-quality materials, expertly executed stitching, and charming details. Every detail was the perfect scale.

This piece is stunning! Each part of the dress adds a bit of sweetness to the overall appearance. Every detail, from the small round gold buttons to the lace at the chest, are perfect to scale for my 50 cm girl. The lace is a fantastic quality and very soft to the touch. Each aspect of the garment is made of a sturdy material, so each element retains its shape. The print of the material is bold and beautiful. The dress is the perfect size for Hitomi's small bust or normal bust size as well!

The underskirt that came with the dress is fantastic! It fits perfectly under the dress to give the piece a fuller look. The elastic is very stretchy, so it can accommodate a wide range of waist sizes. With Hitomi's petticoat and the underskirt combined, the dress creates the perfect lolita cupcake shape!

The head bow is such a wonderful addition to this coordinate! The hair band is reinforced with a bendable metal bar, so the piece can easily be manipulated. This allows for many different styles!

I cannot believe the commission came with a set of socks! These over-the-knee socks have been made to Hitomi's specifications. These socks look incredible on my Obitsu when worn!

A perfect score! The articles of this coordinate are stunning! I am in love each piece. Every item was carefully made, created with quality materials, and each stitch in its proper place.

One-Piece Set in Pink

Picture
Just like the one-piece set in sax blue, the pink lolita coordinate set came with a one-piece dress, over-the-knee socks, and an underskirt. Unlike the sax set, this coordinate came with a matching bonnet! Similarly to the sax blue set, each piece of this collection is simply adorable! Every article has been created from high-quality materials, expertly executed stitching, and charming details

This piece is stunning! I adore the print on this one-piece! It is a great addition to Hitomi's Sweet Lolita style. Every detail is simply darling. I am so happy that all the pieces are perfect to her scale! The material is soft but firm, so it keeps its shape. The lace on the items sweet and soft.

When I initially unboxed my items, I thought the bonnet was too big for my doll. Thankfully, I was completely wrong! The bonnet is not only beautiful, but it is a perfect fit. The aspects of this bonnet are especially lovely. I am completely in love with each ruffle and lace detail! Since Hitomi has a bonnet and I very interested in having one myself. The bonnet looks incredibly charming when worn!

I am extremely impressed with this lolita coordinate as well! There has been such care and detail that went into the creation of the items, and the bonnet is too precious for simple words!

Communication

Communication with Monica was excellent! My request was taken to heart and the artist was easy to talk to. I was able to get items that would fit my doll's fashion and her unique body measurements. I knew exactly how much my commissions would cost and when they shipped.

My items reached me quickly! A tracking number was provided. I am only removing a few numbers due to the material of the package. The package itself was very thin and was ripped when it arrived. Thankfully, my items were protected and all together despite this. The presentation was very lovely!

Fantastic! Every item has been beautifully crafted. The material is soft but firm, the print is bold and beautiful, and the skills used to make the ruffles and the sewing is stellar! I am beyond impressed! Not only are the pieces skillfully made, but they were reasonably priced as well. The blue lolita set was priced at $45, while the pink set was $50. The overall price of shipping was a reasonable $9. I plan to order new accessories and items for Hitomi and Lilith in the future from this talented artist.

Which dress is your favorite? Do you have some ideas for the next piece?

I would love to hear your thoughts!

Stay Frilly,
