Lady Sloth is a Polish independent lolita fashion brand. The designers for this brand create many apparel items for your lolita fashion wardrobe. From dresses to boleros, Lady Sloth has it all. I have had my eye on this lolita brand for quite some time, but I had yet to make a purchase. When they announced that their series, Welcome To My Dollhouse, would be ending in 2018 I had to act fast!

Ordered items:

Welcome To My Dollhouse Short Jumperskirt
Welcome To My Dollhouse Bonnet
Simple Underskirt

Lady Sloth offers custom sizing for no extra fee, wow! I took advantage of this amazing perk and their payment plan. I began my payments in September and finished at the end of November. My items began to be made on November 29th, 2018. All my items were made and shipped in only 14 days!

Welcome To My Dollhouse Short Jumperskirt

Picture
It's no secret that I love ball-jointed dolls and similar dolls. This release is one that I had to have. The amazing aspect of this print is that there was a Gothic and Sweet Lolita print version released. The sweet version features lighthearted elements, such as dolls reading and dancing. The darker version features broken dolls and similar dark themes. It was difficult to choose which print to select!

I chose the Sweet Lolita print version in lavender. The lavender was a great choice! Not only did it allow the print to stand out, but there is a great range of possible coordinate color options.
Picture
The design of this dress is stunning! I am very impressed by how the custom measurements came out. The dress is very flattering when worn! One of my favorite aspects of this dress is the great use of many printed elements. In addition to the intricate border print, there is a lovely diamond pattern presented on the piece. It's an aspect of the design that adds to the unique nature of this dress.

The top of the dress features a golden locket design with gem embellishments. I like the doll that
is featured here. This elegant feature is carried at the border print too, with the golden frames.
Picture
The illustrations on the dress are too adorable! The border print features both human and animal ball-jointed dolls. Each frame shows dolls that are posing or captures a moment of their activities in the dollhouse. The sweet version of the print shows the dolls reading, dancing and posing.
Each gilded frame encircles the drawing, The print also features pink roses, pearls, gems, and ribbons. With all of these elements, there are many options for possible lolita coordinates.
Picture
Not only are the illustrations gorgeous, but the print is very clear and striking. There aren't any mistakes on the fabric. Each element, from the gilded gold frames to the lace at the bottom, is easy to see.

The loose polyester sash is optional, which is a nice feature! The same fabric was used to make the ruffled bottom and bodice. I love the look! A V-neckline is a very nice design for this piece. I have to admit that I was disappointed with the shoulder ribbons. These ribbons must be pinned into place. I preferred these to be attached, but I can understand that someone could appreciate the option.

Rating:

This dress is lovely! The illustrations and patterns on the dress are stunning and eye-catching. The dress is very flattering when worn. Each material used to construct the dress is of good quality and the sewing techniques used are professional. I love the coordinate versatility of this dress! I wish the JSK bows weren't pinned.

Welcome To My Dollhouse Bonnet

Picture
Picture
This is my first bonnet. I decided that if I was to purchase one, I wanted to go all of the way. This particular head item was a full bonnet. Now that it is in, I am so happy that I bought this accessory!

The full bonnet is gorgeous. The print is just as vibrant as the print on the jumperskirt. The golden locket motif is the feature of this headpiece. The bridge also has a bonus full-color piece!
Picture
The print is as vibrant as the print on the jumperskirt. The bonnet lays flat for easy storage. I did not expect this, since it is a full bonnet. This awesome feature is a welcomed bonus all around

Bonnet Selfie!

The bonnet is very comfortable. There is a minimal imperfection on the fabric, but it isn't noticeable when worn. My only issue is that the bonnet likes to slide off of my wig. To fix this, I will add a comb so that the bonnet will stay in place!

Rating:

10 / 10
The bonnet is beautiful! I love that it compliments the dress so well. It's well constructed and lovely.

Simple Version Underskirt

Picture
When the Black Friday sale went live, I had to take advantage and add on a wardrobe necessity. I have been unable to wear Melty Cream Doughnut by Angelic Pretty due to its length. This item would help with that particular jumperskirt but it could also be used with other pieces, too!
Picture
The underskirt is lovely. The simple version only has one row of ruffles, but it is perfect for my needs! As with the other items, this underskirt has been well constructed. The ruffles are very soft to the touch. Due to this, the piece is very comfortable to wear even when it contacts the skin. The underskirt's length was able to be customized. How fantastic! This item looks great with my shorter dresses.

The waistband is a bit loose due to some minimal weight loss. Due to this, I will need to make the elastic in thewaistband shorter. Even with my minimal sewing skills, this adjustment will be easy!

I love this underskirt! Like the other items in this review, the materials used were of high quality. The construction of this piece was lovely. I really like how this dress looks with my shorter dresses. I have worn this underskirt with Melty Cream Doughnut, Sweet Cherry Deer and Chocolate Bear Coty-chan Sweets Wonderland. The underskirt adds additional length to my dresses without any effort at all! The material is very comfortable. The ruffles are soft and do not cause irritation when it brushes against my skin. I am so happy that I added this item to my order!

Communication

10 / 10
The communication with the Lady Sloth staff was fantastic! Not only are they knowledgeable, but their replies were speedy. I contacted the staff three times in total. These messages concerned their payment plan, measurements, and shipping status. I was very happy with the great customer service!

Shipping

10 / 10
The cost of shipping was reasonable. My items shipped 14 days after ordering. The items were made to order, so this is very impressive. The items arrived safely in a plastic envelop a month later.

Quality

The quality of all of the items I ordered was amazing! I am impressed with the high-quality materials that were used. Each item had been made to my measurements perfectly. The items fit very well and are flattering when worn. I will be sure to order more items from this lolita shop in the future!

I love the fabrics and wonder where they buy them. Both dresses are really cute!

Some independent lolita fashion brands use generic fabrics from Japan to make their dresses. Lady Sloth, however, has a talented team of artists at their disposal. This release was done through a collaboration with the artist Antygea. Lady Sloth ordered their custom fabric from a fabric company and construct their pieces once it arrives. It’s pretty amazing!
