Etsy has suspended many lolita shops on their platform, including mine. Not only have sellers lost their privileges, but buyers have reported this freeze well. Is it possible the stigma behind "lolita" has impacted our fashion again?! Here is my experience.
This may surprise you, but most of my lolita items have come from a Chinese marketplace called Taobao! Similar to eBay, Taobao is an online platform for businesses to sell their items. Many of the brands you know from online lolita shops have their original shop on Taobao. Some of these brands include Magic Tea Party, Dear Celine, Infanta, and SouffleSong! Buying from Taobao may save you some lolita funds! Here's how I shop for items on Taobao via the shopping service Taobao Focus.

Chocolate Coty-chan Sweets Wonderland is a dress I have been lucky enough to own for awhile! This dress by Maxicimam has everything a Sweet Lolita would love. Candies, gingerbread houses, doughnuts, rainbows, balloons, and BEARS! Here is an updated coordinate with a few changes.
I loved changing out my hair accessory to some fluffy bear ears! The long-sleeved blouse felt more balanced than the short-sleeve one. The sweater added a great pop of pink. I really like that I could wear my recent Polly Pocket purse and add some lavender to the coordinate. I opted for a larger sweet necklace and an additional brooch. The white and pink ribbon OTKs helped continue the same color scheme from the tops and hair accessory. I loved pairing this look with my pink cute shoes!
It's always fun to have a new take on a classic! Have you done a coordinate redo? I'd love to know!
I am always on the lookout for cute accessories. With the recent limitations to global shopping due to the outbreak, I can't help but miss adding new items to my lolita wardrobe. The essential packages that arrive at my doorstep got my thinking. What if there was a lolita fashion subscription box?
With people domestic and abroad falling ill to COVI-19, the news is overwhelming. Americans are advised to practice social distancing. Angelic Pretty and Baby, the Stars Shine Bright in San Francisco have temporarily closed their doors. Lolita communities have canceled live events for now. With so much uncertainty, here are my tips on how to love lolita fashion during the coronavirus pandemic!
It's no secret that I am a plus size lolita. I have been plus size my entire lolita life. Things have changed a lot from when I first discovered the fashion and for the better! There are so many indie brands that offer custom sizing, and even lolita name brands that have started to be more size inclusive, wow! There are some dresses and skirts that I love that I cannot hope to wear...or can I?
This is the account of one woman and her passion for lolita Fashion.
