Printed lolita socks are such a fun accessory! Socks and tights are a great way to change a coordinate. Brand printed lolita socks and tights are especially popular in our niche fashion.
As a plus size lolita, I am always on the lookout for printed socks that will fit. I purchased a new design directly from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright. The question I have is, "will they fit?" Let's see!
I have read many plus size lolita blogs about brand socks. People seem divided on if the socks will fit. Sadly, I have yet to see the measurements of the authors’ legs. The widest part of my leg is 17.5 inches, or 44.5 centimeters. If these socks fit and you have measurements like me, that would be great!
The Purchase
I purchased Strawberry Rose Bouquet Ribbon Printed Overknee Socks in pink from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright San Francisco. I really wanted these socks because they have a pink ribbon! This design will go well with many of my lolita pieces. The fact that there is a logo on the back is a bonus!
When my socks arrived, I couldn't believe how pretty they were! I was surprised to see that the material of the socks weren’t made out of cotton, but a similar material to pantyhose. There is some spandex in them. I did worry that the design would distort. If so, I would just resell the socks online.
They FIT!
I am happy to report that these socks fit! Again, if you have similar measurements to me, you should be fine with socks by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and Alice and the Pirates. The top of the socks does roll a bit when walking. I plan to use a garter or use sock glue to keep them up for a long period of time. I've heard good things about the It sticks brand!
