Unbelievable! Angelic Pretty's Re-Release is Plus-Size Friendly
Yes, it's true! This iconic print is being re-released. The series is MTO. The release includes a jumperskirt, the pancake bag, and honey bear jar jewelry. You can see why the lolita community has their petticoats in a tussle! Is there more? YES! This dress cut offers plus-size Lolitas a real size range. The made-to-order event is available via the San Fransisco Angelic Pretty online store from 6/7/19-6/10/19.
So, what's the deal with Honey Cake?
Honey Cake is one of the most recognizable Angelic Pretty releases. The dresses and accessories have held a place in many a Lolita's wardrobe wish lists. The print features pancakes and waffles, alongside delicious sugary toppings and ingredients. This food-related print is unique! Of course, each aspect of the print has a wonderful touch of Angelic Pretty sweet charm. What's not to love?
What's being re-released?
Dresses
Only the round jumperskirt will be made. The dress is available in two of the original colorways, ivory and yellow. Unlike the original release, the material is 100% polyester. Either dress is $285 USD. The dress features a new cut! Due to this, the dress now has a length of about 89 cm, bust of about 90 ~ 127 cm, and a waist of about 72 ~ 117 cm. Talk about plus size friendly! I love this new change.
Accessories
While we do lack a few of the original release pieces, some of our favorites are back! The matching headbows are $40 USD each; and who doesn't want one?
The adorable Honey Bear Ring is $22 USD. The Honey Bear Necklace is $42 USD. The highly sought after pancake waffle mix bag is a steal at $110 USD! This unique, and large, Angelic Pretty shoulder bag may be just as popular as the dress.
How to Participate in the MTO
f you are located in the United States, head over to the San Francisco Angelic Pretty online shop. Click the banner, or the shopping tab. After the shopping tab, you should see Honey Cake MTO on the left-hand side of your screen. Either way, you will reach the offered Honey Cake release items.
Select the items you like and add them to your cart. Check out as you usually do. Since the series is made to order, it will not ship until January 2020. You will pay for shipping at checkout regardless.
I did not receive a receipt for my purchase. This is due to it being a pre-order and the items will be sourced from Japan. I assume that Angelic Pretty will process payment at the end of the MTO period.
