It started with a Google search…

I’m Callista (She/her), but you may know me as magicalgirlme.

I accidentally discovered lolita fashion years ago and I have been enchanted ever since! Not only does lolita add beauty to my world, but I love how the clothes make me feel. Now, I couldn't imagine my life without it! I express my passion for lolita through social media, my blog, shop, podcast, and YouTube channel.

As a biracial, plus-sized member of the LGBTQIA+ community with an invisible disability, I'm not what many expect when it comes to lolita fashion. This makes me even more passionate to share my journey through representation!

When I’m not doing lolita-related activities, I like to play videogames, collect magical girl weaponry, and aim to make the world a better place.

  • Anyone can wear lolita. You can wear this style regardless of your age, race, sex, size, or anything else. Take it from me, a Lolita who is a plus-sized woman of color that is in her thirties and who has an invisible disability. Everyone can feel beautiful!

  • My favorite lolita name brands are: Metamorphose Temps De Fille, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, and Angelic Pretty. Some of my favorite indie lolita brands include Sleepyland, Lady Sloth, and Angelic Forest.

  • While I have a full-time job, I wear lolita as often as I can on my days off!

  • When I'm not hunting down lolita pieces or binging fashion content, I like to make my own jewelry, record and edit YouTube videos, collect and design ball-jointed-dolls, watch anime, build my magical girl collection, draw, write, and play videogames!

  • I've been lucky enough to be featured on Wunderwelt Libre, Cupcakes and Lace, and on Fluffy Kawaii Jo's and Marinakei's channels.

  • Kuma Kumya's Marine Island JSK II, the re-released Holy lantern, and Wonder Queen Bustier-Style JSK are currently highest on my priority list.

  • As someone who's in love with this niche fashion, I participate in many ways! Aside from the content I express through my blog, YouTube channel, and shop, I enjoy spending time with other lolitas. I am an active member of my local lolita community, collaborate with other lolita YouTubers, and co-host lolita panels at local conventions. I love meeting people who love J-fashion!

  • I do! If you are a fellow lolita content creator, or if you'd like to discuss sponsored content for your kawaii brand or products, feel free to message me via the contact form or at magicalgirlmeofficial@gmail.com. I look forward to connecting with you!
