Happy New Year! Let's Review 2022 and Welcome 2023!
Wow, where does the time go? A lot of challenges this past year, but there were great things too!
Last Year...
I Sold at PortCon
2022 was my first year vending at the anime convention PortCon as magicalgirlme, and I loved it! It was wonderful to hear live reactions to my designs, meet new people, and spread my love of kawaii with every purchase. I also got to spend time with two people who mean a lot to me, so I had the best assistants all weekend long!
I Tried a New Lolita Style
I have wanted to try Hime Lolita for so long! The style is so elegant and detailed. It was impossible for me to resist wonderful props, like crows and scepters. After years of searching, I finally found the set I had been dreaming of! The moment I put my Princess of Hidden Memories dress and bonnet on, I felt like it had been made for me! I'm very glad I didn't let this pink heart tulle beauty pass me by!
I Had Some Great Sponsors
This last year, I worked with some amazing brands including Dream Holic Dcoucou and Devil Inspired! Sponsors not only support my content, but provide discounts for my fans. I hope to continue to work with great companies in the future, too!
This year, my goals are:
Release More Content
Due to my full-time job and temporary health issues, I've become behind in my content! While it is the busy season at work, I no longer have to worry about the blood clots in my leg! The inability to move, lift items over 10 pounds, and be on medication that make me drowsy are a thing of the past. I've very excited to get back to a regular schedule for videos, blog posts, and design releases (and more exclusive content for Patrons, too!)
Get a Better Camera
After a failed collaboration with an amazing Lolita content creator, I replaced my camera with a better one with a longer recording time. While that aspect is awesome, the video quality is less than desirable. I hope to upgrade one with a similar recording time, but with 4K video!
Complete My Studio
Last year, my wife's family went through a lot of changes that impacted us as well. Due to some unexpected circumstances, we purchased the building we live in. This unplanned change has an upside! We can now make upgrades to the space we reside in.
I can finally repair, paint, and complete my studio! Over the year, I'd like to decorate the space completely as well. I've even made a board of items that fit my vision. It will be more fun to use my entire studio as backdrops for photos and videos in the future!
