It isn't a secret that the economy is struggling everywhere; you are not alone! Have you ever considered trying a spending freeze?
Sometimes it's planned and sometimes you have to put your hobbies aside to afford the necessities. Here are my 3 reasons why a spending freeze may be just what your wallet needed!
Helps You Create an Emergency Fund
Recently, I was with a friend at Round1 for karaoke and games. As I boarded the escalator, one of my beloved Shiny Unicorn Queen shoes was ripped by the metal teeth on the stair. In that devastating moment, I realized that I only had one pair of pink shoes!
Instead of needing to start saving when the event happened, I could have had reserves due to the spending freeze and purchased replacements right away. This is a great chance for me to create a lolita fashion emergency fund for similar occasions!
Time to Take Inventory
This is a great time to take inventory of your lolita wardrobe! Maybe there are a few things you forgot you had, or maybe there are some items you'd like to sell. Perhaps you have more of one type of item which means you need to rearrange your storage, who knows!
Knowing what you have can prevent you from buying similar items, while rearranging your wardrobe or selling any undesired items can free up some wardrobe space. Not to mention and sales can help fund future purchases after the spending freeze!
Create New Coordinates
Now that you know what you have, try experimenting! This is a great chance to put some new coordinates together. You may find a new look you love or get a new use out of your pieces. Give your creativity a chance to let loose and have fun!
