Exposing My Kittens to Lolita Fashion, a Reflection

Your little prince or princess may surprise you!

My wife and I brought two kittens home last week. As of now, they are both nine weeks old.

Today, I gave our two boys a crash course in lolita fashion exposure. While there were things I expected, there were also some things I didn't. I hope this post is a fun read for you pet lovers!

The Basics

My lolita closet is located in our living room. This is where our kittens spend all of their time when we are home. They were curious about the closet, to be sure. I made sure to keep my energy up as a gathered my coordinate items.

As I dressed in my lolita underthings, the kittens watched with a puzzled look. The actions were so foreign that each kitten was satisfied with looking onward. It was almost as if the kittens were thinking, "Mom can get fluffy, too!"

A Focus Piece and Wig

The printed dress caused some interest. I'm not sure if it was the collage of bears, balloons and other cute items that was entertaining, or if it was how I put on the dress. The act of dressing alone would be fun enough to watch!

When I put on my wig, all bets were off. Suddenly, I had disappeared, and a stranger was there. After some coaxing, the kittens realized it was me. Still, they couldn’t understand why I was wearing this strange fur.

Getting Pretty

Both kittens escorted me into our bathroom. There, I did my traditional lolita makeup routine. Two pairs of grey eyes followed my hands as I took out my strange tubes and bottles and applied liquids and powders to my features.

When I began to add accessories, it was the clear winning form of entertainment. Each placement of a ring, ribbon, necklace, and hair item was met with complete engagement.

Well Deserved Playtime

Once my lolita coordinate was finished, it was time to reward the kittens for their great behavior. I took out their favorite toys and had a well-deserved playtime. The kittens' balls and cat wand were great toys to use. This was especially true while dresses in a full coordinate!

After the kittens finished their play, they settled down on the living room carpet. With their energy stores drained, it was time to move onto the most exciting part of the fashion exposure.

Snuggles and Cuddles

Cats are now a part of my home. It is impossible for them not to be a part of the fashion, too. When the kittens were ready for cuddles, I took the opportunity to do some more hands-on education. Before the kittens could knead, I gently put my hands over their paws to stop their claws.  Soon, the kittens lost interest in my attire after a minute or to. It was just another normal occurrence of being held.  Who knows, maybe this indifference will let me dress up my boys in the near future! Pastel ribbons, anyone?

Do you have pets? How do your pets handle your fashion? Do you wear lolita fashion around them? I would love to read your answers and all about your experiences!

Stay Frilly~
