My Favorite Lolita-Friendly Games

The cuter, the better!

There are so many phone applications and websites one can use to kill some time or to get a daily dose of cuteness! New applications and websites arrive every day. I like to try new dress up related games in order to fuel my need for daily cuteness meter. There are currently three websites or phone applications that I use for all my dress up fun! I wanted to share these titles since you may enjoy these games as much as I do. Here are my three favorite lolita-friendly dress up and fashion games!

CocoPPa Play

CocoPPa Play is a dress up game available for IOS and Android. This application allows you to customize avatars that show off their looks on a stage for everyone to see! This game allows you to not only dress up your main avatar, but you can dress up two other avatars as well! You can even make friends and feature them in your stage show. Other users can like your show, which gives you experience points. Between free and paid release items, your avatars can be extremely unique!

Why I love it:

Unique Avatars

The avatars that you can create with this application are very unique! I have never come across the same look twice. All the items are beyond adorable and over the top. I love that one stage set can be gothic, while the next can be extreme decora. You'll never know what gacha theme will be out next, or what stage set you will come across. It's a surprise!

Your stage features up to three avatars.

Each stage, which is a "room" by normal dress up game standards, can feature up to three avatars and it is completely customizable. You can dress up each avatar with items from your closet. This is especially fun when you want to stage a scene, such as an idol concert or an Alice mad tea party! You can also forgo the customizable characters for friends that are in your active friend's list. The ability to show off your friend's awesome looks besides to your own is fantastic! You can also earn and unlock many poses for yourself and your friends to enhance your show.

3. There is always something to do!

This game has level related quests to tackle so that you can level your character. I am able to level up and get bonuses for doing so! Other uses liking your stage can help you level as well. Besides the integrated level quests, this application often has events! Each event has special items that you can get, and the events vary by theme and goals. My favorite event was an Alice tea party themed event where you had to collect teacups to turn in for goodies. Not only was it a fun event to take part in, but the exclusive items that you could win were also super adorable!

Dolly Collection

Why I love it:

1. It is very easy to use

This application is very easy to use! Once you choose your starter doll's hair, eyes and skin base, you can immediately start to customize your doll's look. The application gives you the three main buttons of, "Dress Up," "Shop" and "Share" to aid you in your play. Each aspect is very straightforward. If you need to dress your doll, shop for new items, or share your dolly on social media it is easy to do!

Not only is this application easy to use, but you also get a high number of free items added to your doll's closet. The free items include everything from wigs, to contacts, to dresses and room items.

2. You can have multiple dolls

You can buy up to eleven more dolls in your dollhouse. Each doll has their own room, look and completed outfit coordinate. I can see myself filling all the eleven rooms in my dollhouse!

3. Layering

Unlike many dress up games, this dress up game allows you to rearrange your clothing and accessory layers! In a similar fashion to Photoshop, you can easily hold and slide your items about in order to rearrange them. A cute blouse can, in moments, go from being under a dress to being placed over it! You are able to use this function for all of the clothes and accessories, including bags!

I love that I can wear all the items in this application differently!

Gaia Online

I have been a member of Gaia Online for longer than I'd care to admit, haha! Something about this online platform keeps me coming back for more. The website has changed a lot since I first started, but each change seems to be for the better. Gaia Online is an online website avatar platform that is also forum based. In addition to creating your own customizable avatar, you can also interact with other users on the online forums. It is always nice to converse with others on the topics and interests you enjoy! The fact that you are able to see a cute avatar on the side of your post is an added bonus.

Why I love it:

1. The avatars are unique

Unlike the other recent applications, I have discussed in this post, Gaia Online has been in operation for over ten years. The avatar bases and available items are extremely unique, especially when compared to Gaia Online's humble beginnings. From a human base to a centaur, to a furry-type animal, you can choose the base that fits you best and you can change it at a time. Gaia allows you to choose a wide variety of items for your character. The database of items is mind-boggling, and the staff adds more daily! From kawaii and lolita items to dark and demonic items, your possibilities are absolutely limitless!

2. You can chat with other users

I love the ability to interact with other users in multiple ways. From forums to guilds, contests to games and trading, this website allows each user to meet and intercommunicate with others. I have had the opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests solely through Gaia Online. If you have an interest, there is a good chance that there are others on the website that share your hobby loves!

3. It is easy to get creative

Gaia Online's gold currency is easily earned through forum posts and interactive games. In addition to this, the website gives you the opportunity to earn your items in unique ways. I have friends that bump thread posts, trade and act as brokers on Gaia for their closet goodies. Many users that like to draw can offer their services for items or gold as well, which is something that I do often! Gaia Online is very friendly to artists, and they often have contests that allow users to design and create new items. If you are an out of the box thinker, Gaia may be a great place to unleash your creative side!
