Review: Honey Cake, Angelic Pretty's Iconic Pancake Print
After six long months of waiting my Honey Cake order is here! Angelic Pretty's made-to-order re-release was not only highly requested, but it is plus-size friendly. I cannot wait to share it with you!
Angelic Pretty announced the made-to-order in early June. The MTO period was only three days long. I had to decide to participate quickly! I went to the website to order the adorable pancake mix bag.
Just because, I took a look at the JSK and I was shocked to see the new measurements! The bust now fits 90 ~ 127 cm, and fits a waist of about 72 ~ 117 cm. I quickly ordered the dress and head bow, rather than the pancake mix bag. As much as I love the bag, I love the dress even more!

Angelic Pretty USA sent an email on December 19th to let me know the items would be shipped in a few days! Both of my ordered items arrived in a sealed Priority mail package. Each piece was wrapped in an individual plastic bag. The jumperskirt was the first thing piece out of the package!
Honey Cake Round JSK
I'm in love! The print and design of this dress is very charming. The jumperskirt features an overall print in brown, and a border print in full color. The print features pancakes, pancake mix, milk, chocolate syrup, a honey bear, cherries, honey, sprinkles, and ice cream. The art is expertly illustrated, of course! With so many adorable illustrations there are many options for coordinates.
The round collar gives the JSK a classic feel. On the front of the dress, you can see the brown ribbon, dark brown lace, a small waist bow, and lovely soft border lace. The print is a different hue of brown so that it stands out and doesn't blend with the brown accents. The cut of the dress is very flattering.
The jumperskirt features partial shirring in the back to accommodate more sizes. Waist ties are optional, and the precious button looks like a little drop of honey. It is an adorable little detail!
And now for the border print! All the pictures on the print are featured vibrantly near the bottom of the jumperskirt. The details on this print are incredible! You can see the directions on the pancake mix, the deliciously sticky honey, and read the calorie information on the milk container, wow!

Chemical lace is along the bottom of the dress. The lace has little bows and cute pancake drawings!

I LOVE this dress! The design is charming and the new cut fits a wide range of sizes. The material of the dress is soft and sturdy. Each illustration is very detailed, so much so that you can read details on the pancake mix and milk container. I love how vibrant the border print is! The theme of the dress is wholesome! With so many fun aspects there are many themes one can use for coordinates.
Honey Cake Head Bow
This head bow is lovely! The bow features the same brown print of the dress. You can see the pancakes, chocolate syrup, cherries, and milk container drawings. There isn't any special lace along the bow, but it is very soft. I like that the lace features polka dots! This detail matches the dress.
The back of the head bow also features the brown print. I love the size of this bow! Like my other Angelic Pretty head bows, the knot is perfectly centered. The headband is very comfortable to wear.
You can see the pancakes, pancake mix box, and the can of cherries on the back of the bow. I love that, no matter what, you can see the print from the front and back. The material matches the dress.

This head bow matches the dress perfectly! You can see the print from the front or the back. The bow knot is solid and centered. I'm happy that the bow is comfortable with a wig or natural hair!

The made-to-order process was very easy! You simply ordered the items as you would for items that are in stock. Angelic Pretty was very transparent that the items would be shipped in January. It was well worth the six months wait. Angelic Pretty emailed me before the items were shipped to make sure they would be sent to the correct place. I love their level of customer service!

The shipping was shipped with priority shipping, so it arrived quickly! All of the items were in a sturdy priority box and individually wrapped in plastic. Each item has a fantastic design, are made of excellent materials, and have perfect stitching. I love the new JSK cut and the fact that it is plus size friendly! The print is vibrant and flawless. Each illustration is very detailed.
