Elegant Darkness, My Latest Dress
Bodyline has stepping up their game lately! I love my pink Lattice Lace dress by Bodyline. Every so often I check the website to see if my size is in stock. For years, I was disappointed. Not only was the dress re-stocked recently, but it was re-stocked in my size, score! This will be my first single colored lolita dress. Not only that, but this is the only pastel-free dress in lolita my wardrobe! I have some fun plans for this piece.
1. Printed Accessories
Since the dress is completely solid, it gives me a fantastic opportunity to play with printed accessories! Currently, anything I coordinate matches the print on my main piece. This dress will give me the ability to buy printed accessories in a black colorway without owning the main piece!
I am especially looking forward to getting some really cute printed over-the-knee socks, a matching head bow, and themed purse to match!
2. A Bit of Darkness
I enjoy bright, cute, and sweet things. Let's be honest, that is all I currently have in my lolita wardrobe! It may be a surprise to learn that I also have a love for darker themes, too.
Now that I have a black dress, I have the excuse to pursue my darker side! This will be my first step towards wearing Gothic Lolita fashion.
3. Just One
When I see a well-done lolita coordinate in a single color, I am in awe! As a lolita that usually works with prints, I look forward to this detail-specific challenge! With this new closet addition, I have an excuse to get black accessories and try another form of lolita fashion. It's just another step along my journey!
