Winter Wonderland Lolita Fashion Mini Haul
Happy holidays! Recently, I made a purchase from the Chinese marketplace known as Taobao. Like most purchases from Taobao, the original proposed shopping list is always larger than the final purchase. Once the items I wanted were confirmed, I purchased two pairs of gloves, a bear head accessory and a pair of shoes. I needed to add a few essential items.
As with past orders, I made my purchase through TaobaoRing. They have now re-branded as 42Agent. I like this shopping service because it is easy to use, the staff understand English well and the commission fee is low. 42Agent even lowers their low fee for special events, nice!
Here are the lolita items I added to my wardrobe!
Sweet Lolita Winter Gloves, $9
These winter gloves are beautiful. I am in love with the entire design! The contrast of the dark pink suede with the light pink velvet looks lovely. It also allows for more coordination opportunities. All of the material, from the suede to the velvet and lace, is very soft. I really like how the base of the gloves look like a wrist cuff. To add some additional elegance to these accessories, the designers added a chain of glass pearls. With the small heart-shaped gem, these gloves do make a statement!
The stitching used to create these gloves is flawless! There isn't a thread out of place. All of the decorative elements are very secure.
The details of these gloves are precious! Between the folded ribbons to the intricate lace, the design is fantastic. I did notice that the heart gems are two different color pinks, but it is barely noticeable.
I discovered that the right-hand glove has embroidery! There are two heart details, one on the thumb and one on the index finger. I believe this may mean that the gloves have touchscreen capability!
As beautiful as these gloves are, I would not recommend them if you wider hands. Even with my smaller hands, it was a struggle to get the gloves on the first time. Once on, the gloves are warm enough for a mild winter day in New England. I look forward to wearing them!

Perfect! These gloves are absolutely lovely! The design is elegant, and they were a great by at $9. These gloves are very comfortable. I would not recommend these gloves if you have wider hands.
Plush Bear Ears, $11
This is the second item that I purchased from the Taobao shop Red Maria. I was very pleased to have found a cute new bear accessory! With my new pink Lockshop wig on the way, I needed to purchase some hair accessories that would stand out a bit better. This hair item was a great find.
The band is wide, which is fantastic! The plush material is very soft. The stitching is amazing - I cannot see how they put this accessory together. The ears on the piece are lovely and just the right size! The velvet ribbons are extremely sturdy and very sweet. The pretty white lace on the bows adds to the sweetness. I enjoy that there is a golden comb at the base of the hair accessory. This adds some additional stability.
My only complaint with this item, is the blue pen marks. These must be where the person who made the item cut out the pink plush inner ear. Thankfully, these marks aren't noticeable when the headband is worn. For the price of the item though, this mistake is one that can be easily overlooked.

I am very glad that I purchased this piece. The headband is sturdy and the plus material that was used is very soft. The two ribbons are flawless and very secure. I absolutely love the design of this cute hair accessory! I have taken off half of a point due to the easily avoidable pen mark mistake.
Sheer Lolita Gloves, $5
I have wanted a pair a sheer lolita gloves for quite some time. Once I bought my Crystal Guardians: Fairy Princess Haenuli dress, I had an excuse to get them. Now that the gloves are here, I believe that they would be a great addition to my Welcome to my Dollhouse jumperskirt that is on the way, too.
The material isn't soft, but the gloves are far from scratchy. I believe that the material will hold up well and this pair will not need to be replaced any time soon. The satin bows on the gloves are a lovely touch. The gloves are well constructed, and the bows are secure. I cannot wait to wear these!
The fingers are a bit too long, and I have long fingers! This is rather strange that the base of the gloves is average or small, yet the fingers are rather exaggerated. You can see the extra material in the tips. It just seems a bit odd. Plan to see if I can make adjustments to the tips to remove the extra fabric.

These gloves are well worth the price. They are well constructed and the design makes the gloves a nice addition to a lolita coordinate. My only complaint would be the length allowed for the digits.
Elegant Ribbon Shoes, $29
This was my most anticipated piece in my order! Between more meets, videos and outings, my lolita shoes have gotten more use. Don't get me know, I absolutely love it! I needed some new shoes to help add more footwear options to my lolita wardrobe and retire one of my older pairs. Similarly to the sheer gloves, I purchased these shoes with two particular dresses in mind. This is my first time ordering from the Taobao shoe shop An*tai*na. I was very excited to see these shoes in person.
When I opened the shoes, I was dismayed to see that the buckles on the front of the bow are missing pearl beads and one of the outer golden frame is tarnishing. It was difficult to see from the proof photos, but they did arrive to the shopping service this way. Nothing had come loose in the shipment. Thankfully, I can fix the missing pearls myself. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the tarnished gold frame. If anyone has any suggestions, I would absolutely love to hear them!
As far as the construction of the shoes, they are very nice! They did smell strongly due to the glue at first, but it dissipated quickly once the shoes were able to breathe. The material is a shiny PU leather. I like that the leather has a polished look. It is evident that the shoes have been glued together, instead of being stitched. My other shoes are similar, so this isn't a huge downside for the price range.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
The size is extremely comfortable. I have wide feet, so I usually order a size 9 instead of a size 8.5 US. The shoes look great when they are worn and the imperfect charms are not noticeable.

Overall, I am satisfied with my shoes. The shoes look very nice when worn and they are comfortable. Plus, they were reasonable. I am disappointed about the care that was given to the featured detail.
