My 2019 Lolita Highlights

Happy New Year! I still cannot believe that 2019 has already come and gone. Here are some highlights of my lolita fashion journey in 2019!

My First Altered Piece

This year, I was lucky enough to purchase my first altered brand piece! I have loved the print Magic Princess by Angelic Pretty for years. I never dreamed that I would be able to wear it! This beautiful JSK had additional measurements added using the waist ties. There was even enough to make a hair bow and I am very happy with how the dress fits. The words altered and modified are now common search terms that I use in my Lace Market browsing!

An Impromptu MTO

Angelic Pretty announced in June that they would be re-releasing their popular Honey Cake series! I was browsing AP's website and learned the new release would be plus-size friendly and yes, I read it multiple times to make sure I read it correctly. I did not anticipate a made-to-order event that would fit my size or one that would only last for three days. I feel very fortunate. The unplanned purchase was well worth the investment and the six-month wait!

A Successful Challenge

As 2019 was coming to an end, I realized that I had not had the opportunity to participate in the 7-day lolita fashion challenge! Armed with some great advice, a coordinate checklist, and my Cotton Candy Feet shoes and bag I attempted the trial. I am extremely proud that I was able to complete the challenge, and on the first try! I learned a lot, like how I can wear full coordinates with only a few extra minutes to my day. This challenge was the perfect way to end the year!

What were some of your highlights for your past lolita year? I'd love to know!

Stay Frilly~
